Items Collectibles Treasure Chart
Treasure Chart
Treasure Chart is a collectible.
Default price: 150 gold per item (base value).
Where to find it
Found among a pirate captain’s papers when you sink or take her ship.
Details
| Property | Details |
|---|---|
| Weight (kg) | 0.25 |
| Base value (gold) | 150 |
| Use | Use it to mark a sunken cache on your sea charts, then sail to it and haul it up; the chart is spent. |
Base gold value is not a guaranteed shop offer; prices can change with the shop, condition and trading modifiers.
Sale prices
Prices are gold per item, at full condition. The sale column follows the comparison in Item sale prices; the shop and your trading stats can change the offer.
| Variant | Base value (gold) | Sale reference (gold) | Buyer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Treasure Chart | 150 | 48 | Shop |
Chart drop chances
These are chances that a pirate ship carries a Treasure Chart when you sink or capture it. Merchant and navy ships do not receive this pirate-paper roll. A flagship uses its own chance instead of the ordinary deep-water chance.
| Source | Chart chance |
|---|---|
| Ordinary pirate ship | 8% |
| Deep-water pirate ship | 18% |
| Pirate flagship | 60% |
Cache rewards
Read the chart to mark its cache on your sea charts, then sail to it and haul it aboard. The chart is spent. Each cache pays two strongbox loot lots plus gold. The gold varies 20% around a base of 250 plus 60 per captain level:
| Example | Minimum cache gold | Maximum cache gold |
|---|---|---|
| Captain level 1 | 248 | 372 |
| Captain level 10 | 680 | 1020 |
| Captain level 20 | 1160 | 1740 |
| Captain level 50 | 2600 | 3900 |
The two strongbox lots roll their own contents; they are not two guaranteed equipment pieces. See Boarding and prizes for taking a ship.
