Towns and city walls

Towns and cities connect to the road network through their approaches. Walled cities have gates where roads meet the wall. Gates, yards and harbours remain useful landmarks when entering a settlement.

Feature Current behaviour
City approaches Roads lead to gates; the boards and carriage at a Bay gate stay with the road-connected gate
City walls Climb the outer face, cross the wall walk, then descend the other side; grip and fatigue still apply
Merchant yards Stables, wagon yards and joineries retain their established sites where possible
Coastal ground Town ground slopes toward the water so piers and docks meet the shore
Saved outdoor locations Camps, anchors and dropped items near Bay towns follow the corrected ground

The latest town corrections reduce steep outskirts and remove pits beside high hills. Crops stand on the fields, and wall pieces meet without overlapping corners or flickering near gates and towers.

The yard corrections include Knightsgate’s stable and the shipyards at Wayrest Map and Penwall Derry Map. Most yards outside the Bay also retain their established positions.

See The capitals for major cities and Regions for their provinces.

See Climbing for climbing controls and Sailing for harbours.
