Court sentences

Sentence outcome	Amount per unit	Chance
Fine	40 gold	50%
Prison	3 days	50%

Pleading guilty halves the sentence. You can instead argue with Etiquette or Streetwise; legal standing, Personality and the relevant skill improve your chance. Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood members may be rescued from court.

Crime group	After serving the sentence
Lesser crimes	Cleared in full
Assault, murder, treason and high treason	Half remains as a lasting mark
