Mercantile

Mercantile improves prices at NPC counters. It works alongside Personality and the shop's quality and regional prices.

Activity Practice
Complete a shop purchase 1 practice tally per completed transaction
Complete a shop sale 1 practice tally per completed transaction
Pay for repair or identification Counter transactions provide Mercantile practice
Browse or cancel an offer No completed trade
Negotiate with another player The agreed price is set by the players

A tally is practice toward an increase, not a skill point. Rest when Skills ready appears. Use purchases and sales you already need; buying goods only to sell them back loses gold.

Online NPC pricing reads Mercantile and Personality only from 0 to 100, so bonuses above 100 do not improve these counter prices. Sales remain below the shop's purchase price, even for the best haggler. Market fees and other players' prices do not shrink with Mercantile.
