Health in player combat
Player combat uses your character’s actual health as a proportion of the refereed combat scale. The same hit removes the same fraction from stronger and weaker characters; the health lost is visible on your own health bar.
| Activity | Healing restriction | After defeat |
|---|---|---|
| Cyrodiil open zone | No healing for 30 seconds after a player hits you | Uses the zone’s death and respawn rules |
| Duels | No healing for the whole duel | Lose with 1 health; the duel does not restore health |
| Guild seats and sieges | No healing for the whole siege | Return at your wave with full health |
Potions or spells cannot retain healing gained during a blocked period. Damage does not automatically return when the 30-second window ends. Ordinary healing still works after a monster fight when a player has not put you under the PvP restriction.
