Smithing — Specialisations
At 50 and at 100 you pick one of four cards, two for the anvil and two for the bench.
| Rank | Choice | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| 50 | Weaponsmith | Weapons you forge come out one quality step higher (staves and bows don't count) |
| 50 | Armoursmith | Plate, chain and shields come out one quality step higher |
| 50 | Gemcutter | A set gem adds another 10% to a piece's points |
| 50 | Goldsmith | Your Silver jewellery carries Gold's extra points, at Silver's rank |
| 100 | Masterwright | +5% Masterwork chance at the anvil |
| 100 | Quartermaster | A smelt makes 2 ingots a unit and a kit craft makes 2 Repair Kits (Brass isn't doubled) |
| 100 | Master Jeweler | +5% Masterwork chance on jewellery |
| 100 | Lapidary | A Siege-cracked Gem can be set as any plain gem |
Gemcutter and Goldsmith are for jewellers who supply enchanters. At 100, Quartermaster suits anyone selling ingots and kits in bulk, while Lapidary only matters if your guild wins sieges.
