Building — Building experience
Each new pattern at a material tier gives 1,823 bonus XP. Cutting stone and mixing Mortar each have one first-time bonus. Normal carpentry pays 20 XP per material tier; clean planing improves quality without adding XP.
| Wood | Normal XP | Quarter XP begins at rank |
|---|---|---|
| Pine | 20 | 40 |
| Oak | 40 | 55 |
| Cherry | 60 | 70 |
| Teak | 80 | 90 |
| Mahogany | 100 | Never through Master |
| Ironwood | 120 | Never through Master |
| Ghostwood | 120 | Never through Master |
Cutting and mixing use your current Building rank for XP. A batch contains up to 100 units of work and costs one 50-gold fee.
| Work | Inputs per unit | Normal output | Output with Quarryman |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cut stone | 2 Rough Stone | 1 Cut Stone | 2 Cut Stone |
| Mix Mortar | 1 Sulphur, 1 Lead, 5 Rough Stone | 10 Mortar | 10 Mortar |
Extra output from a perk does not add XP.
| Rank | Plain XP per work | Clean XP per work |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | 20 | 30 |
| 10 | 40 | 60 |
| 25 | 60 | 90 |
| 40 | 80 | 120 |
| 55 | 100 | 150 |
| 70 | 120 | 180 |
| 90 | 140 | 210 |
A batch uses the Building rank you had when it began. Smaller batches can benefit sooner from newly unlocked XP tiers.
| Example | XP |
|---|---|
| 100 clean cuts at Building 55 | 15,000 before other modifiers; first-time bonus added if unused |
| Sculptor decor at Building 100 | 10 after the low-tier penalty, from a 40-XP tier-2 recipe |
Sculptor decor uses recipe-tier XP, unlike rank-scaled cutting and mixing.
