Revenants and feuds — Return and rank
A revenant returns 2–4 days later and takes 40% of your open-world encounters. Ranks run from 1 to 5.
| Per-rank gain | Value |
|---|---|
| Health | +40% |
| Damage | +15% |
| Class-enemy level | +3 |
| Condition | Power |
|---|---|
| Rank 2 or above | Break its Will with a weakness hit, a stagger or a perfect dodge before it can die |
| Rank 2 or above | Signature blow deals 2× damage |
| Rank 3 or above | Survives one killing blow at 30–40% health and fights harder |
| Rank 5, escapes again and has a lair | Becomes the Dread: 1.5× health, two last stands and never flees |
Each revenant has one hidden weakness; see Enemy traits. The effect depends on its type.
| Weakness type | Effect |
|---|---|
| Element | −50 to saving throws against matching spells |
| Metal or weapon class | Matching hits deal 1.5× damage |
| Daylight | Your blows deal 25% more damage during daylight |
Its lair is a named dungeon 4–10 map pixels away; town rumours can reveal it. Left too long, it festers, gaining wrath and eventually rank.
| Ambition | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Vengeance | Returns faster |
| Mastery | Trains |
| Plunder | Hoards gold: +25% a day, capped at 3× |
Online, a revenant that kills you takes one unlocked piece of equipment, up to 3 pieces.
