Spyglass

A spyglass lets you zoom in on distant ships and identify their flags from farther away. Inspecting a ship within 900 m reveals its guns, crew, cargo and captain, including false colours.

Use it when comparing potential sea encounters. See Spyglass and charts for the shared sea reference.
