Building your first custom class

A custom class lets you choose skills, advantages and disadvantages. For a first character, avoid restrictions you have not played with yet. Forbidding common early materials such as Iron and Steel can make the first dungeon much harder.

Check that your class allows your intended armour and weapons and has enough magicka for the spells you want. See Custom classes for the available choices.
