Searchable container farming routes

These maps cover ordinary searches of sarcophagi and crates. They are separate from the raised-pile report and are not ranked as instant-refill farms. Their short routes can still be useful between treasure-pile runs.

Bring lockpicks for locked chests and crates. General Stores and Pawn Shops sell them. You can play the pin-tumbler minigame or choose Auto attempt; a failed Auto attempt breaks a pick. Leaving the lock window costs nothing. The circuits in Raised loot piles: Elona and alternatives avoid locked doors.

Dungeon Region Containers Return circuit Why check it Container locks
Ruins of The Tower of Wickham Map Menevia Map 2 sarcophagi about 3 m Both are beside the arrival point; little walking is needed None
The Tower of Cyugt Map Mournoth Map 2 sarcophagi about 3 m The same checked entrance plan as Wickham None
Ruins of Masterton Grange Map Daggerfall 4 crates about 61 m A compact group in one room, about 40 km from Daggerfall city One level-2 lock
The Pit of Asmerah Map Wayrest Map 7 crates about 98 m More containers per visit, about 29 km from Wayrest Map city Level-1 and level-5 locks

A container does not guarantee an equipment drop. See Searchable containers for the full category chances, gold ranges and ambush rules.

Searches normally have a 5-game-hour cooldown, about 25 real minutes online. Resting does not fast-forward it. Search finds belong to the searcher's party. The separate searchable-container persistence defect can restore an old find after a public host change; it does not establish a refill rule for placed piles.

Search ambushes can produce two enemies for a solo player, with more for a party, and may include an Elite. Leave room to retreat and search one object at a time.

Ruins of The Tower of Wickham

Both sarcophagi are next to the arrival point. Search 1, step across to 2, then return to E. The short route avoids locked doors and does not require a deeper dungeon clear. Search ambushes can still make it dangerous.

The same plan was checked in The Tower of Cyugt Map, Mournoth Map. Wickham is about 52 km from Wayrest Map city; Cyugt is about 68 km away. These are travel distances across the map, not walking distances inside the dungeon.

Ruins of Masterton Grange

Follow E → 1 → 2 → 3 → 4 → E. The four crates are in the same room; 3 and 4 are stacked at the same spot. One crate has a level-2 lock. The route stays on the entrance floor and is about 61 m out and back.

The Pit of Asmerah

Follow the route to the crate room, then use the enlarged detail to search 1 through 7. Several crates are stacked, so aim at each box separately. Two crates have locks, at levels 1 and 5. The complete return route is about 98 m.

These maps show where to stand beside each container. The dotted lines point to the objects; they do not mark extra walking distance. Use the public layout, and include fighting, lockpicking and selling time when comparing runs.
