Fighting with two hands
- What pairs: two one-handed weapons (blades, daggers, maces, flails, hammers, axes), two Pistolets, or a blade and a Pistolet. A shield, two-hander, bow, staff or carried torch leaves you single-handed. Bare-handed, both fists fight.
- H picks the lead hand when both are armed, or swaps hands when one is.
- Alternating: the lead hand opens. A strike within 0.75 seconds of the last one ending comes from the other hand.
- The off hand deals 0.8 of the rolled damage, has a small to-hit penalty, and feels its weapon 1.5× heavier.
- What it gains: a matched light pair lands about 9% more damage a second than one weapon, and a longsword pair about 4%. A dual wielder gives up a shield's armour.
- Spell hand: ready a spell beside a one-handed weapon. Attack swings the weapon, cast releases the spell, and the hands take turns.
- Guns: a reloading pistol hands the pull to the other hand. The Thunderlock is never paired.
