Smithing — Your first pieces

At rank 0 you can make anything in Iron, plus Silver jewellery and the Cloth Amulet.

Iron Shortsword or Wakizashi	2 Iron Ingots, 1 Tin
Sickle or Skinning Knife	1 Iron Ingot, 1 Pine Plank
Wood-Axe or Pick-Axe	2 Iron Ingots, 1 Pine Plank
Iron Repair Kit	1 Iron Ingot, 1 Cured Leather
Iron Helm, Gauntlets, Boots or a Pauldron	2 Iron Ingots, 1 Cured Leather

Smelt Iron under The Forge, then choose a family and pattern under The Anvil Map. The station selects a metal from your stock; use the buttons under its name to change it.

2	Watch the glow rise and fall
3	Strike or press Space 3 times while the glow is within the band
