Logs, planks and Charcoal

Neither process gives XP. Logs and planks can be sold on the Notice Board Market. The smith’s counter sells:

Court writs ask for logs, never planks, so deliver before you saw. A writ for 40 Oak Logs pays 96 silver and 192 Logging XP. The Stores, the market and the writs work the same for every gatherer (see Mining).

Heartwood is the prize. It can stand in for one plank in any recipe that has a quality, and it lifts the piece a quality step, so carpenters want it for their best bows, staves and furniture. Resin is the string-wax every short and long bow needs, one a bow, so there's always a little call for it.
