The Materials Bag and the Stores

  • The Materials Bag costs about 500 gold at any General Store, one per character. It holds up to 300 kg of materials only and travels with you like a wagon. Harvests go to the bag first, then to your pack.
  • Your Stores (Holdings > Stores, in any town) hold up to 5,000 of each material, to withdraw, list on the market or deliver to a The Notice Board. A guild's Stores hold 50,000.
  • Material origin affects what you can make and sell. Writs and some guild projects require materials you gathered or crafted yourself. Materials transferred from your pack can be used for crafting, though the products retain restrictions on selling for silver. Daily crafting writs accept potions, dishes and Repair Kits you made from looted or gold-bought ingredients too; bought or found finished goods do not count.
  • Food keeps in the Stores and starts to spoil only once withdrawn.
  • A Crafting station can take a shortfall straight from your bag or pack.

The Rank column below gives the normal gathering requirement where the material is directly harvested. A dash means a refined, purchased, crafted or bonus material: its listed tier is not a gathering requirement. Herbal rarity can vary by climate; check the herb locations.
