Gathering — How to gather

Carry the right tool, look at a node and press Interact (E). Attack swings or strikes; Esc cancels with nothing lost. Gamepad (RT) and touch (tap the node) work too.

Gathering is unavailable in settlements, near enemies or while fully encumbered. Indoors, only dungeon veins and Hunting are available.

Gentle work on the Professions page removes timing activities and gives ordinary results without clean bonuses.
