Equipment bonuses

Equipment bonuses improve a worn item's effects or the character using it. Check the kind of bonus before comparing pieces.

Source What to compare
Affixes The bonus type, its rarity range and its shared limit
Socket gems Gem type, grade and the item's socket capacity
Item enchantment Added powers and the piece's enchantment capacity
Legendary and Gilded items Fixed bonuses and special powers

For magical defence, see Resistance Bonuses. For casting, compare Spell cost cut (focus), Casting speed and Spell damage (potency). Clothing bonuses include attributes, skills, standing, warmth and weatherproofing.

Crafting, the item maker and loot provide different bonuses. Disenchanting yields Arcane Essence; it does not extract a bonus to put on another item.
