Armour bonuses and selling

Newly crafted Superior and Masterwork armour rolls bonuses with a preference for its armour type. These are relative selection weights, not guaranteed bonuses or final percentage chances. Unlisted attributes and resistances have weight 1.

Type Attribute selection weights Resistance selection weights Other preferences
Leather Agility and Speed 3×; Luck 1.5×; Strength and Endurance 0.5× Poison 2×; Frost 1.5× More carrying-capacity and attribute lines; fewer Armour lines
Chain Endurance 2×; Agility and Willpower 1.5× Magic 2×; Fire and Frost 1.5×; Shock 0.5× Resistance lines have 2× selection weight
Plate Strength and Endurance 3×; Agility and Speed 0.4× Fire 2×; Frost 1.5×; Shock 0.5×; Magic 0.75× Armour lines have 3× selection weight; carrying-capacity lines 2×

Every type can still roll the other bonuses, and the type adds no skill-specific weighting. These preferences apply to new crafts; existing crafted pieces retain their original rolls. Imbue and Reforge use the item's allowed bonuses without these armour-type preferences. See Affixes and curses for bonus effects.
