Character creation

Character creation sets your race, class, background, appearance, attributes, skills and reflexes. For advice on choosing a first character, see Making your first character.

Online character creation skips biography questions. This does not change the offline biography flow.

Where your story begins

Choose where your story begins on the last creation page; see Choosing a starting province. Your race’s homeland is selected first. The Cyrodiil start is offline only; other provincial starts work online. Each start gives you the Emperor’s commission so the main story can wait until you are ready.
