Buy orders
Buy orders let a buyer request materials on the Market. Open a Notice Board, choose Market → Orders, then compare the requested material, remaining quantity, price and region.
| Rule | Value |
|---|---|
| Currency | Silver |
| Lifetime | 7 real days |
| Open orders | 20 per account |
| Payment | The buyer funds the order in advance |
| Seller listing fee | None when filling an existing order |
| Sale tax | 5% of the sale, with rounding applied across fills |
| Distant fill | Courier cost is deducted from the seller's proceeds |
| Separate sale tithe | None on a buy-order fill; a Seat share can come out of the courier charge |
Fill an order
- Check that the order still needs the material you intend to sell. Compare its net payment with current listings and completed sales in History.
- Use eligible stock from Stores. Materials bought for gold on the Market cannot fill a silver order.
- Enter the quantity. Review the final payment after tax and any courier charge before confirming.
For a same-region sale of 100 silver, the ordinary calculated return is 95 silver after 5% tax. Distant delivery lowers that return; a fill that cannot leave a positive payment is refused. The order's remaining need can change if another seller fills it first.
A buyer's unused escrow is returned when the order is cancelled or expires, subject to the silver balance cap. See Market for courier examples and Market fees for comparisons with posting your own listing.
